Nottingham 'is great for a hen weekend'

When it comes to arranging their hen and stag weekends, some couples may want to go all out to ensure they have the experience of a lifetime before they arrive at the wedding venue.

If this is the case, one city they may consider visiting is Nottingham, as an expert claims that it is "buzzing day and night".

Jenny Leighton, a spokesperson for Experience Nottinghamshire, said that the area offers something for men and women, from relaxing spa breaks and great shopping opportunities, to activities like archery, paintballing and white water rafting.

"By night Nottingham is still full of life as the choice of entertainment on offer draws people of all ages to the city," she added.

There are also more than 200 restaurants for those who want to enjoy a delicious meal with their friends before they don their wedding dress, Ms Leighton said.

According to Designaventure, Bristol is the most popular coastal area in the UK for a stag weekend.
