Fishtail plaits 'offer an unusual look for weddings'

As the big day draws near brides will have to start thinking about how they want to wear their hair so that it looks perfect with their wedding dress.

Although bouncing curls or a classic up-do are some of the most traditional options, one expert has put forward another suggestion that could appeal to many women.

Fishtail plaits were seen all over this season's catwalks and artistic director at Toni & Guy Indira Schauwecker said that although the style may be a little difficult to achieve, woman can create a very intricate look.

She explained that brides need to split their hair in two and then feed smaller sections into the centre of their head.

"Fishtail plaits are just an adaptation of a normal plait, you can do it yourself but naturally it will be harder," Ms Schauwecker said.

Of course, one option could be for brides to get their hair done for them at a salon, so they do not have to worry about it when they are arranging other things, such as a wedding cake.
