Nicole Richie 'ready to start wedding planning'

Nicole Richie has revealed that although she has been "on the road", she is now ready to sit down and start her wedding planning.

The socialite recently announced her engagement to Good Charlotte rocker Joel Madden and discussed arrangements for her big day on Ellen DeGeneres' US chat show.

Richie explained that at the moment, nothing is set in stone.

"Not yet, but soon [we'll have a wedding date]. Yeah, it's a big deal," she stated.

The daughter of Lionel Richie also joked with the presenter about who would be receiving wedding invitations for the big event.

"You will definitely be there, obviously. Hello! Huge part of our life and relationship," she laughed.

The star is already a mother to Harlow Winter Kate, 18 months, and six-month-old Sparrow James Midnight.

She is not the only famous face making plans for her big day at the moment, as Jennifer Hudson's fiance David Otengo recently told Life & Style magazine that the couple have set a date.
