Dating show host Paddy McGuinness gets engaged

One person who may have no trouble coming up with a witty wedding speech is comedian Paddy McGuinness.

Although he currently hosts new ITV dating show Take Me Out, the star obviously needs no help finding love as he recently got engaged to his girlfriend Christine Martin.

The 36-year-old reportedly proposed to the former Miss Liverpool over Christmas, and the 21-year-old accepted.

Speaking to the Sun, a source described the pair as "seriously loved-up".

"His career is going well and now he's getting married. It's turning out to be a great time," they stated.

Paddy first made his name starring alongside Peter Kay in Phoenix Nights.

Now, he attempts to find dates for 30 single women on his new show and has coined the catchphrase "no likey, no lighty".
