Faux wedding cakes can look good 'and save money'

One way in which couples can save money on their big day could be to hire a fake
wedding cake.
According to NWSource, many companies offer faux desserts that look just as spectacular and impressive as the real thing.
Couples can then purchase a cheaper sheet cake to serve their guests so that they still have something to munch on while they are listening to the
wedding speeches.
"Choose between 12 different designs for your faux cake, with the plain white circular or square cakes being the most popular, allowing the bride to decorate in her own style with fresh flowers or ribbon," the news provider advises.
Newlyweds who are still intent on the traditional cutting of the cake can even get a pretend dessert where the top layer is substituted for the real thing.
Speaking to the Victoria Advocate, April Brandon recently said that she will be serving two small desserts rather than something "sculpted to look like the Millennium Falcon".
