Bride 'hires The Stig' as wedding chauffeur

It is not often that couples have a celebrity turn up at their wedding venue, but this is what one groom may have thought was happening when he prepared for his big day.

Jennifer Skidmore arranged for a lookalike of Top Gear's The Stig to arrive in a Ferrari at her nuptials to surprise her partner Richard.

The groom, Jennifer's seven-year-old son Joshua and the best man were all driven by the famous face to the ceremony and certainly turned a few heads on the journey from Ripley's Out of Town Inn.

Richard said: "I had no idea, Jennifer just told us to make sure we were at the pub for 10am. It was absolutely brilliant. I love Top Gear and so does Josh so it was a great surprise."

The couple tied the knot at All Saints' Church before holding a reception and making wedding speeches at Horsley Lodge.

Top Gear is presented by Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May.
