London wedding baker 'creates cake for Sasha Obama'

One wedding cake-maker has revealed how she created a dessert for Barack Obama's daughter's birthday.

Mich Turner, 39, is the founder of Little Venice Cake Company in the West End of London and over the years has had many famous clients.

As well as creating the cake for Sasha Obama's eighth birthday in June, she has also designed delicious desserts for the Queen, Bulletin Wealth reports.

However, these do not come cheap and the most expensive wedding cake she has ever created was for a Nigerian couple, which sold for £23,000.

Ms Turner said: "In much the same way people seek a designer dress, pair of shoes and handbag - a bespoke cake ensures quality, iconic design, unrivalled prestige, total indulgence, refined opulence."

Speaking to the Irish Independent, wedding planner Tatiana Byron-Marx – who has worked with the likes of P Diddy and Dianna Ross – recently said that it is important for couples to spend money on desserts for their nuptials.
