Jay-Z 'wants to be a wedding performer'

Couples who are currently in throes of wedding planning and have big cash to spare could book music mogul Jay-Z for the entertainment at their reception.

The 39-year-old, who is married to Crazy in Love singer Beyonce Knowles, has claimed that he wants to become a DJ and hopes to one day be booked for events like weddings.

Commenting on his fresh ambitions, the 99 Problems rapper explained: "I'm going to get me a little Serato set, some DJ software. I'm going to work on that for six months, then … find out which DJ makes the most and charge double and tour, do bar mitzvahs, weddings."

Considering most brides and grooms-to-be blow the majority of their budget on things like the venue, wedding dress and cake, it is unlikely that many mere mortals will be able to afford him.

Jay-Z and Beyonce tied the knot last April in a secret ceremony in New York.

The occasion was kept under such tight wraps that apparently many of the couple's friends and family were not even informed.
