Most people marry by 40, research reveals

Around eight out of ten men and women in the US get married before the age of 40, new research has found.
According to a report of first marriages in the US by the National Centre for Health Statistics, the majority of citizens have carried out some form of
wedding planning by the age of 40.
Based on a survey of almost 13,000 people, the report revealed that generally women marry earlier than men.
For example, 74 per cent of US women have tied the knot by the age of 30, compared with only 61 per cent of men.
The study determined that most Americans are likely to get married at some point in their life, USA Today reports.
While those figures may vary here in the UK, it has been widely acknowledged that people are now prepared to wait until later in life before posting their
wedding invitations, based on financial aspects and career commitments.
