Brides choose Rolls Royce as ideal wedding car

An important part of wedding planning is organising the transport to ensure the bride gets to the church on time.

But, when it comes to their big day, not just any old banger will do for brides - they want to travel in luxury.

New research conducted by female car insurance provider Diamond has found that a classic Rolls Royce is the number one choice by most brides.

A quarter of those polled said that is how they would like to arrive at the wedding venue, while the second most popular mode of transport was a horse and carriage.

When asked who they would like to hire to drive them to the church, most women claimed that Brad Pitt would be their ideal chauffeur.

Sian Lewis, Diamond managing director, commented: "You want every part of your wedding day to be wonderful and of course you want to make a grand entrance."

This comes after market analyst Mintel recently revealed that most bride and grooms' weddings have remained generally unaffected by the recession.
