Newspaper offers £10,000 wedding reception prize

Couples from Northwich who are experiencing the stress of wedding planning during times when money is tight could be in with a chance of winning the day of a lifetime.

The Norwich Guardian has announced that it is to offer a reception worth £10,000 at the historic 17th-century Cranage Hall in Cheshire.

The bride and groom who write the best description as to why they deserve the prize will win a day at the stunning wedding venue, which includes a three-course breakfast for guests, champagne reception, wedding flowers and disco.

As the credit crunch continues to bite, it is understandable that many couples will be unable to plan the day of their dreams. However, the answer may be simply to be more creative with choices.

This comes after a couple from Blackpool recently revealed they intend to break the world record for the number of bridesmaids and best men at a wedding in a bid to raise money for charity, the Liverpool Echo reports.
