Jennifer Hudson sets the date

Dreamgirls star and bride-to-be Jennifer Hudson has revealed that she and fiance David Otunga have set a date for their upcoming wedding.

The 27-year-old Academy Award-winning actress and singer spilled the news in an interview with American Idol host Ryan Seacrest this week.

When asked about her wedding planning and when friends and family can expect to receive wedding invitations, Jennifer teased: "It's a secret. I can't tell anybody."

Reality TV star David popped the question on her birthday last September after the couple had been dating for less than a year.

Commenting on when the celebrity couple are expected to tie the knot, a friend close to Jennifer told the National Enquirer: "It's going to be real soon … They're head over heels in love."

Jennifer has also remained tight-lipped about the wedding venue, keeping details of nuptials close to her chest.

The singer shot to fame as a finalist on the third series of American Idol back in 2004.
