Serial bride holds wedding record

A pensioner in the US has gone down in history as the most married woman in the world, reports reveal.

Since the age of 16, 68-year-old Linda Wolfe from Indiana has tied the knot 23 times, with her longest marriage lasting just seven years. She even got hitched to the same man three times over.

Explaining her reason for exchanging marriage vows so many times in her life, Ms Wolfe claimed that she is "addicted to [the] romance" of wedding planning and saying 'I do'.

"It's easy to sum up. When I was younger, I was just a snot-nosed kid, but the neighbourhood boys were all in love with me. They all wanted to marry me," she said.

As for any plans to make it 24th time lucky, the single serial bride admitted to the Sun: "It's been years since I walked down the aisle. I miss it."

In related news, an Australian senator has claimed that staying married is eco-friendly as it works out better for the environment.
