Nicole Richie to tie the knot on Harlow's birthday

Celebrity couple Nicole Richie and Joel Madden have revealed plans wed on the same date their little girl celebrates her first birthday, according to new Hollywood reports.

Baby Harlow is set to turn one on January 11th 2009, the date 27-year-old socialite Nicole and rocker boyfriend Joel are aiming their wedding planning for, an insider revealed.

"They want to set an example for Harlow. Nicole and Joel are doing this to seal their love legally. They want the ceremony to coincide with Harlow's first birthday and be one big joyous occasion for everybody," a source close to the couple explained.

Nicole and Joel have been dating for almost two years, but have yet to formally announce their engagement or send out wedding invitations.

Meanwhile, wedding plans appear to be temporarily off the cards for fellow socialite Paris Hilton and Joel's twin brother Benji Madden, after reports claim the pair have split bringing their whirlwind romance to an end.
