'Elegant' wedding for Aussie model and cricket star

Australian model Lara Bingle has revealed plans for an "elegant" wedding when she ties the knot with fiance, cricketer Michael Clarke, sometime next year.

The 21-year-old beauty has opted for small, low-key wedding planning after celebrating her engagement to the Aussie cricket vice-captain with a lavish party attended by around 300 guests.

"It will definitely be elegant but I don't want it to be too full on. It's still a wedding and not a red carpet event," she told Who magazine.

As for the date, she added: "Summer is much more suited to me. A winter wedding would not be my choice."

Groom-to-be Michael proposed to Lara in New York's Central Park back in March, after more than a year of dating.

The couple are set to move to England next April for four months during the 2009 Ashes tour, where Lara hopes to do some wedding dress shopping.
