Miniature Diana wedding dress to be sold at auction

Royal wedding dress designer Elizabeth Emanuel is set to sell a miniature version of the late Princess Diana's wedding dress in an online auction, reports reveal.

The designer, chosen by Lady Diana to make her iconic wedding gown in 1981, will be selling the miniature - made from the dress' original fabric - along with a pink chiffon blouse worn by the Princess for a Vogue shoot prior to her official engagement.

"We got a phone call from Vogue magazine asking us if we had anything that we could lend, a blouse with a high neck, that could be worn by a very famous personality," she told the Telegraph.

"It is really the garment that started it all off, the relationship between Diana and ourselves."

Other dresses designed by Ms Emanuel to be sold at auction graced the red carpets on British actresses Elizabeth Hurley and Helena Bonham Carter.
