Biker wedding reaches new heights

A couple who are mad about Harley-Davidsons have tied the knot in an unusual wedding venue in Scotland, it has been reported.

Lynda Morton and Duncan Batty were married on CairnGorm Mountain with their beloved motorbikes close by, according to the Strathspey and Badenoch Herald.

Staff at the tourist attraction organised for their Harleys to be transported via a funicular railway and then had them wheeled into the wedding ceremony.

Bride Lynda opted to ditch the usual wedding dress and instead donned biker's leathers, while Duncan smartened up his biker's gear with a top hat.

However, the pair did not do away tradition entirely as Lynda's motorbike was decorated with wedding flowers.

Helen Wink, events co-ordinator at CairnGorm Mountain, told the newspaper: "Quite clearly the Harleys are very much part of Lynda and Duncan's 'family' and they wanted them to be part of the wedding."

She added: "We've carried machinery on the funicular before but we have never taken motorcycles to the top. Hopefully, the next unusual request will not involve Bentley or Mercedes aficionados."

Earlier this month, the Metro newspaper reported that Darren McWalters and Katie Hodgson exchanged vows on the wings of a biplane.ADNFCR-1730-ID-18750655-ADNFCR
