Katie Price's wedding 'will not be pink'

Despite being known for her outrageous outfits and fondness of the colour pink, it seems as though the hue will not appear at Katie Price's wedding.

A source told the Mirror that because the colour featured predominantly in her wedding planning when she married Peter Andre, she is keen to stay clear of pink the second time around.

"She's been there, done that. She's moved on," the insider said.

Although Katie, also known as Jordan, married cagefighter Alex Reid in a small ceremony in Las Vegas recently, the couple are keen to hold a second wedding in the UK surrounded their family and friends.

The source continued: "Guests will be welcomed with champagne and canapes and cupcakes. They will be picked up by coach and taken to a top secret location on the day."

Another person who could be looking for a wedding venue in the UK is Amy Winehouse, as the same publication recently reported that she will not marry Blake Fielder-Civil in Las Vegas, as some people suggested.

Prince William and Kate Middleton 'will have traditional wedding flowers'

When it comes to Prince William and Kate Middleton, the question on everybody's lips for some time has been 'are they or aren't they?'

While speculation grows about the possibility of them sending out wedding invitations and tying the knot, an official announcement is yet to be made.

However, this has not stopped royal florist James Lycett from discussing which blooms he would like the pair to have on their big day.

The Telegraph quotes him as saying that in his opinion, Kate and William are a traditional couple.

"For his father, we had 30,000 Narcissus daffodils, so if it was the spring months it would be lovely to do the same," Mr Lycett said.

He also thinks that the wedding flowers will be British blooms such as roses, delphinium and sweetpeas.

William and Kate met when they studied at the University of St Andrews in Scotland, which is the oldest educational establishment of its kind in the country.

Civil partnerships 'still popular' in the UK

The number of gay couples making a wedding speech is likely to remain steady in 2010, it has been claimed.

Gino Meriano, gay rights campaigner for same-sex families and founder of the Gay Wedding Show, pointed out that according to many reports, there has been a 46 per cent decline in the number of civil partnerships.

However, he described this as "complete baloney" and said that in fact, there was an influx of ceremonies taking place in 2007 and 2008.

Mr Meriano continued that in his opinion, there are likely to be between 800 and 1,000 people sending out wedding invitations and holding same-sex marriages every month in the UK.

"That would be your standard number that you would expect because it's a niche market," he added.

The Civil Partnership Act 2004 came into effect on December 5th 2005 and was the first time that same-sex couples aged 16 or over could obtain a legal recognition of their union.
