Finally on track it seems!
Firstly hurrah for me working out how to blog!
Secondly hurrah for me finally getting the planning mojo back - admittedly there is not much for me to do for the next few months, I don't want to do too much until 6 months before the big day as I am too likely to change my mind on the little details
So between now and Christmas this is THE LIST:
1) Pay florist deposit
2) Meet Ruth @ Finesse (assisting us with her the design and support service)
3) Book Registrar
4) Send Save the Dates
5) Save up as much £ as we can
6) Lose a stone ( me not him!!)
So ......I don't think that our list is scary, I was previously petrified of all things weddings - but I am no longer running away from the concept of marriage; now that I have seen a few Hitchers weddings come together over the last month - I am actually quite excited.
To kick start our list I have signed up to the the wedding weight loss - so far have lost approx 6lbs and been to the gym twice this week - we are both eating much healthier and it feels good. I have a meeting with the dress maker on 17th October - I so need to be able to fit into the dress ( my big fat behind tore the dress last time I tried it on- major bridezilla moment ensued )
We managed to cut our guest list right down at the weekend, my parents came over and we went from 90 guests to 59 adults and 6 children, this is going to save us about £3000, huge weight off our shoulders as the budget was spiralling out of control! Although I am sure there will be a few disgruntled Aunts/cousins/nephews etc who will simply have to come to terms with the fact that R & I are NOT the Beckhams and we cannot afford to have all our our families present at our wedding.....easier said that done right???
So all in all I feel really positive, this wedding planning lark can be fun, if you can relax enough and try not to take it too seriously :)
