Welcome one and all to my celebrity wedding blog. For those of you with no interest in famous fashionistas and their pre-nuptial plans, avert your eyes now, otherwise, you've come to the right place. Having worked in the fashion magazine industry for as long as I have and specialising in glamorous celebrity weddings - to which I have attended my fair share - juicy insider scoops are my raison d'etre. Believe me, I have seen some things that may inspire, shock and even terrify you to the very core so consider me your eyes and ears on all things glitzy, glamorous and wedding related.

Overseas weddings - is it for you?

We all know the weather can be pretty unpredictable in the UK, which could be why so many couples decide to tie the knot in warmer climes.

There can't be a lot things more romantic than saying "I do" under a beautiful setting sun on a warm sunny evening in Europe and it seems as though one celeb agrees.

Appearing on The Rachael Ray Show in the US this week, Nick Lachey hinted he could tie the knot with partner Vanessa Minnillo in Italy during the festive season.

He stated: "We're going to be in Tuscany for New Year's. Who knows, we may be married in Tuscany, too!"

I think getting married abroad is a great idea and it's a way for couples to treat themselves to a holiday as well as ensuring their big day is something to remember.

But I do appreciate why some may dislike the idea, as I imagine it's a bit of a hassle trying to get family and friends on a plane, booked into a hotel and organised for the event - not to mention expensive!

Wedding planning is stressful enough as it is without having to do the whole lot in a foreign country.

I suppose it's just down to the couple and how much they're willing to take on really. If they do want to get married abroad I think it could be a magical day, but it's worth arranging the event properly and that's likely to take time.

Are you currently planning a wedding abroad?
